Sujata Srivastava, Principal

Ms. Sujata Srivastava has 13 years of experience in urban economics consulting. She specializes in economic development, real estate market analysis, and fiscal impact analysis, with a particular focus on the economics of transit-oriented development (TOD) and infill development. Her most recent assignments include a study to remove barriers to infill development in Long Beach, CA; a transit-oriented development market study for the new rail and BRT corridors in the Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA regions; and an economic development strategy for Alameda and Contra Costa Counties in the San Francisco Bay Region. Ms. Srivastava has conducted national research on TOD, and recently authored two white papers for the Federal Transit Administration on the topic of transit and economic development.

Ms. Srivastava holds a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley. She received her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. She is a fluent Spanish speaker, and is proficient in Hindi and Portuguese. Ms. Srivastava serves on the Board of Directors for Datacenter, a nonprofit organization that promotes social justice through strategic research, training, and collaborations.
